IN GAMBIA

DAY 1 :

Arrival in Youmdoum, driving to Bakau for the night.

DAY 2 :

Starting early in the morning to Banjul to take a ferry for Jufureh, lunch, visit of Saint James Island and night at Kunta Kinteh hotel.

DAY 3 :

Visit of the village museum, meeting with the Kunta Kinteh family village queen, around two hours walking trek to Sika. Then driving to Wassu to see some 1500 years old megaliths. Visit of Baboon Island. Night in Georges Town with a pic-nic on the road.

DAY 4 :

Driving to Tendaba, lunch, visit of the bolongs by canoe to watch birds and crocodiles. Night on spot.

DAY 5 :

Starting for a 2/3 hours walking trek to visit Kiang West National Park, lunch in Bitang Bolong. Departure in the afternoon to reach the South-West coast for the night.

DAY 6 :

Starting for a walk to visit Kartung village, then by canoe on the sea arm between Senegal and Gambia boundary. Lunch nearby the bolong and back in the afternoon to the hotel to enjoy its beautiful beach before the night.

DAY 7 :

Leaving the hotel in the morning by car to visit the bigger artisanal fishing port in Gambia where we meet fishermen from the whole African West coast. Lunch on spot. End of the trip.
