SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF SALE
BEFORE DEPARTURE. . . ADMINISTRATIVE FORMALITIES
This information only applies to French people. Travellers of other nationalities should contact the Senegalese Embassy or Consulate closest to where they live. We draw your attention to the fact that each participant is financially in charge of all the administrative documents (passport, customs formality, authorisations, visas, vaccinations, etc…) The following information is only given as an indication, and we couldn’t be held responsible for cancellation due to lack of documents in order.
You will need a passport valid for more than 6 months after the end of your stay, together with your international vaccination book (record). You won’t need a visa. When you arrive at the airport in Dakar, the customs officers will inquire about your place of stay : you will write ….. on the information pass.
COMPULSORY VACCINATIONS :
Yellow fever : 15 days before departure.
Don’t forget your vaccination record together with your passport.
ADVISED VACCINATIONS :
Make sure the vaccinations for tetanus and polio are not overdue. Vaccination against hepatitis A and typhoid is also advised. Each hospital has a parasitology department and there you will often find a department for vaccination and information for travellers
TREATMENT AGAINST MALARIA :
Unfortunately Senegal is not free of malaria. You should ask your doctor or doctors at the hospital for the most efficient preventive treatment according to the dates of your stay. Malaria is transmitted through mosquitoes bites. They often bite at day break and night fall. It is therefore advisable to wear impregnable clothing and use repellent in mornings and evenings.
