DAY 1 :
Early morning start to go to Ziguinchor with ferry crossing of Farafenni. Stop at the
border with Gambia and visa formalities. Crossing of the river Gambia by ferry before
driving to Zinguinchor. Depending on the time of arrival, night in Zinguinchor or
departure by canoe to Affiniam. |

DAY 2 :
Visit of the village of Affiniam, of the dam, the orchard of the rural promotion centre.
Lunch at the impluvium cabin of Affiniam ; departure in the afternoon to visit the
one-storey house of Djiapao, a work of art because of its decorations and sculptures from
floor to ceiling. Then tour of the village and the surroundings. Back to Affiniam at
night. |

DAY 3 :
Departure by canoe to Kandiane with a stop in Niokine to visit this village of animist
religion, the king of Sôme, the church and the bomboong - tam tam phone - before reaching
the camp site by boat for the night. |

DAY 4 :
Visit of the villages of Kandiane, Mendalye and surroundings. |

| DAY 5 : Departure by canoe to
the village of Balinkine, visit of the village and picnic on the beach. After a nap, canoe
to the campsite for the night, the Barracuda in Carabane. |

DAY 6 :
After a three quarters of hour caoe trip, arrival in Sakout, a
100 % animist village, exporation of the village and its fetiches. Your guide will expain
to you all the spirituality related to the fetiches, which will enable you to realize the
importance of this religion in people’s everyday life. If possible, meeting with the
fetiche man called Djilomo, departure to Dielingor, picnic and tour of the village before
canoeing to Carabane. |

| DAY 7 : Canoeing back to
Ziguinchor from where we’ll drive by car to Enamport, an inland visit and
night in an impluvium cabin. DAY 8 : Early departure to go to Dakar. |
